Today was another relaxing day, which again...very grateful for. This day was one that I was looking forward to because we were getting to go to an Ethiopian market! This one, unlike the last, was filled with scarves, clothing, art, and just about everything else you can imagine. From the top of these shops to the floor, there were items in every nook and cranny. And forget about walking room because in many of them, it is nonexistent. Nonetheless, I was able to purchase so many Christmas gifts that I was beyond excited to give and found myself actually pretty good at haggling with the prices!
We went to get coffee after at a little coffee shop and I don't think I have ever had a stronger coffee in my life. It gave us a jolt of energy and the bus ride home was definitely a loud one!
After we were back at the guest house, the rest of the night was spent on planning lesson ideas for the students at the Fregnent school. We had all been assigned a grade level and would be working with that class in order to incorporate more hands on activities and lesson plans into their day. All I knew was that I wanted to integrate art into my lesson and was excited to see what the students would think since they are not used to getting a lot of time to create.
