Today was a beautiful, nature-filled day. To begin with, we went to a place called Born Free. Their main mission is the preservation, conservation, and education of wild animals. They take in wild animals that are injured or endangered and nurse them back to health. If they are able to be released back into the wild, they do so after the animal has made a full recovery. We saw baboons, cheetahs, lions and monkeys, but the foundation works with so many other wild animals in order to ensure they get the care and rehabilitation they need.

Part two of our nature filled day was lunch with a view. We drove to Bishoftu for a late lunch and were surrounded by flowers and greenery. It was honestly so beautiful and peaceful that I wanted to stay there forever.

Even though our weekends were still filled with activities and explorations, I was grateful that they were turning out to be relatively calm days. We definitely needed them after our weekdays because I ended each day around 8pm from exhaustion.
